Commingled Recyclables

Commingled or co-mingled products are the recyclable packaging of everyday food and beverage products and includes the bottles, cans, cartons and paper found in both offices and homes.

Recycling these products ensures:

  • Savings on your general waste costs as these services are generally cheaper than waste removal,
  • That the environment is helped by reducing the space required at landfill, and
  • Contribution to a circular economy.

Commingled products are sent to a sorting facility where they are separated into their individual waste streams such as glass, metal and plastic. These waste streams are then sent on to be recycled into new products. Generally these bins are smaller in size, transportable with wheels and have a yellow lid.

Container Deposit Scheme

Container deposit schemes are gradually being established across Australia in an effort to increase recycling and reduce the amount of recyclable waste that ends up in landfill.  Established schemes are now running in Queensland, New South Wales, ACT, South Australia and the Northern Territory, with Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia planned for the near future.

Eligible containers

Eligible containers include most plastic, aluminium and glass drink containers with sizes between 150ml and 3 litres. They need to be empty, unbroken and display the refund mark. This includes most soft drink, pre-mixed alcohol, beer, cider and water bottles and cans. These containers are then sent to recycling facilities to be recycled into new products.

Working with industry partners, we can provide a bin to be placed at your location to collect these containers.

At Redooo, we can provide you with a variety of bin sizes and types to manage all your general waste needs including wheelie bins right through to large skip bins.

What is General Waste?

General Waste refers to your typical waste that goes to landfill and is also known as putrescible waste or household garbage. It includes all materials that cannot be recycled or recovered such as plastic bags and soft plastic packaging, mixed waste, food waste and waxed cardboard.

At Redooo, we are enthusiastic about recycling and sustainable waste management practices but understand that this is not always possible. We encourage everyone to try to separate any recyclables from your general waste before it goes into the bin as this is one of the best ways you can contribute to reducing your carbon footprint and can also help you to reduce transport costs and overall waste disposal fees.

Who do we service?

We service both residential and commercial/industrial businesses, across a range of industries including Construction and Demolition, Education, Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Healthcare, Retail & facilities management, transport & logistics, manufacturing & chemicals/pharmaceuticals.

How can Redooo help?

At Redooo we can provide you with a variety of bin sizes and types to manage your general waste and recycling needs including wheelie bins right through to large skip bins. Whether you're simply looking for a one-off collection, or are a commercial business needing regular pickups, simply select which bin type you require and how often you would like us to collect your waste, with multiple options for reoccurring services and even a one-off service depending on your needs.

Just remember, all general waste bins will have weight limits and additional costs if your bin does go over the standard weight limit, so make sure you only place light materials in this bin.

Please also note that skip bag bins only take dry waste and we do not accept bins if they contain items such as food waste or items that are likely to decay or spoil.
