Clinical Waste

Clinical waste is defined as "is that which has the potential to cause sharps injury, infection or public offence, and includes sharps, human tissue waste, laboratory waste, animal waste resulting from medical, dental or veterinary research or treatment that has the potential to cause disease".

Clinical waste bins are available in many sizes, depending on your location within Australia.

Sharps Waste

Sharps waste comprises used "sharps" materials, including any device or object used to puncture or lacerate the skin. This type of waste is classified as biomedical waste and requires specialist handling. Secure and convenient sharps disposal solution is essential to prevent sharps injury and potential infection transfer.

Sharps materials are utilised throughout a number of different industries, such as hospitals, veterinary clinics, tattoo parlours and aged care facilities. Common materials and equipment deemed and treated as sharps waste include disposable scalpels and blades, hypodermic needles, contaminated glass, wires, and certain types of plastic.

Sharps Disposal Containers range from portable spill proof and puncture proof single use containers to larger, reusable containers that are exchanged when filled.

Single use sharps containers, when filled and sealed, can be disposed of in any Clinical Waste Bin.

Emergency response delivery and collection of multiple bin sizes available.
